Ecogain involved in 50% of Swedish wind power projects

Sweden is currently on a journey to transition to a fossil-free society. Part of this means reducing and making our energy use much more efficient, but we also need to expand renewable energy on a large scale. Wind power plays an important role here, as it can be expanded at both the lowest cost and climate impact.

Since 2017, Ecogain has been involved in as many as 50% of all completed onshore wind farms in Sweden, with inventories, permits and / or in the construction phase, together with companies such as OX2, Svevind, Fred Olsen and many more.

In 2021, wind power accounted for around 20% of electricity production in Sweden. This needs to increase if we are to reach our targets. But with the Swedish Energy Agency's assignment to identify new areas for wind power, and the government's decision in February 2022 on Sweden's first offshore wind power plans, the future looks good for renewable electricity. There are great opportunities for the expansion of Swedish wind power, and Ecogain will continue to support the work for the sustainable transition.
