This training gives you an understanding of:
- What biodiversity is and why it is necessary and business relevant to work on these issues.
- How does biodiversity relate to other sustainability issues - challenges and synergies.
- How different activities affect and depend on nature.
- How to identify and assess the impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities related to ecosystems and biodiversity in your direct operations as well as in your value chain.
- Biodiversity and ecosystem reporting - requirements and expectations (e.g. CSRD/ESRS and EU taxonomy)
- What should be included in a biodiversity strategy?
- What is a biodiversity transition plan and what should it include?
- How to develop biodiversity targets, including how to align with frameworks such as Science Based Targets for Nature, TNFD and It's now for Nature etc.
- What measures and activities can be taken in direct operations and in the supply chain to reduce negative impacts and risks?
- How to monitor biodiversity targets and actions?
Objectives of the training
After the training, you will:
- Have a good understanding of what biodiversity is
- Know how to identify and assess impacts and risks related to biodiversity
- Know the relevant legal requirements in the field
- Have comprehensive knowledge of how to work to reduce impacts, manage risks and take advantage of opportunities linked to biodiversity in direct and indirect activities.
