Ecogain recruits new head of biodiversity strategy

The need for biodiversity services has continued to grow strongly over the past year. Ecogain is one of the consulting companies that has grown continuously in recent years to meet the demand. It is now recruiting Helena Granborg as head of the Biodiversity Strategy business area to further strengthen the organization.

Helena Granborg has a background in IT and technology development and comes most recently from a role in management consulting, where she worked on the digitalization of major global companies. At Ecogain, she will continue to develop the Strategy business area and develop strategies to help companies tackle the challenges of biodiversity.

The decision to join Ecogain grew out of a dialog with the CEO and Board. I saw the chance to work on an interesting and important agenda together with experienced experts and with clients in the business community who are driving developments in sustainability. I look forward to growing the business area and being able to hire even more colleagues, broaden our inquiries and support customers in their transition, says Helena Granborg, new business area manager Strategy

The need for well-designed strategies underpinned by biodiversity data at the management level is becoming increasingly important for companies and investors as new reports and frameworks are released. These include the new EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Investment and the post-2020 global biodiversity framework to be agreed at COP 15 in December.

It is a complex area and, as with all our services, our Biodiversity Strategy business area is constantly evolving to implement new science and technology. In this way, we can not only minimize risks, we can also help companies identify opportunities for both business and nature. Helena is the right person to continue to drive this work in the right direction," says Fredrik Höök, CEO Ecogain.
