GAP analysis for CSRD and ESRS - with a focus on biodiversity

On January 1, 2024, the new EU Sustainability Directive CSRD will enter into force. We help you get ready for the new biodiversity reporting requirements through our CSRD/ESRS GAP analysis.

The new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will impose completely new requirements on your company's sustainability reporting.

The new directive also includes the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which is a new common reporting standard for sustainability reporting. One part of the ESRS, E4, deals directly with biodiversity and ecosystems.

The new rules will enter into force on January 1, 2024 (2025 reporting year). This means that your company will need to prepare the information and data points to be collected already in the fall of 2023.

CSRD AND ESRS IMPORTANT FOR INVESTORS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS

The new CSRD/ESRS reporting requirements will ensure that investors and other stakeholders have the information they need to assess investment risks arising from climate change and other sustainability issues, such as biodiversity.

ECOGAIN OFFERS GAP ANALYSIS WITH A FOCUS ON BIODIVERSITY

Our GAP analysis will help you and your organization to identify the gap between the current sustainability reporting and upcoming requirements included by the CSRD (ESRS/E4) related to biodiversity.

We analyze governing and reported documentation and then complement the information using structured interviews and workshops. The work follows an efficient and goal-oriented process:

  1. Analyze current reporting
  2. Identify upcoming requirements and clarify what is needed to bridge the gap to meet the new reporting criteria
  3. Apply the 'double materiality' principle to identify your biggest impact
  4. Linking targets to identified areas of greatest impact and defining relevant KPIs
  5. Preparing to implement the new requirements, ensuring follow-up and control
