We recently conducted an inventory of aquatic plants in a protected bay in Värmdö municipality. We worked based on national standardized methods for natural value and aquatic plant inventories - to be able to deliver a knowledge base to the customer to make informed decisions.
Nature value inventories in the marine environment have previously been quite rare, but are likely to increase as more focus is placed on nature conservation in our oceans.
Our consultant Ursula Zinko, an ecologist with expert knowledge of aquatic plants, snorkeled and noted the species she saw in the shallow water.
