Social acceptance

Social acceptance, and the concept of Social License to Operate, means that a company or operator has the unofficial approval or support of the community in which they operate to conduct their business. It includes the broader permission of the community, local communities and other stakeholders.

The importance of social acceptance

To maintain and strengthen their social acceptance, companies need to be accountable, transparent and responsive to society's needs and expectations. A lack of social acceptance can lead to resistance, protests and a negative impact on the company's reputation and business success.

Our social acceptance services add value for you as a stakeholder. We help with systematic dialog, collaboration and create concrete links to sustainability legislation such as sustainability reporting (CSRD). By linking stakeholder analysis results to the ESRS1, ESRS2 and SBM-2 reporting components, these processes are also simplified for you as a company.
