From November 10, 2025, Tove Hägglund will take over the role as Vice President at Ecogain. Tove is Chief Biodiversity & Business Officer, with strategic responsibility for nature and biodiversity issues linked to business relevance - both internally at management level and in collaboration with Ecogain's customers.
- Ecogain is the engine of the Nordic environmental consulting industry in creating solutions where nature and social development can go hand in hand. The demand for our expertise is growing rapidly, and I look forward to working even closer to both customers and colleagues to meet new customer needs," says Tove Hägglund.
Tove has worked at Ecogain since 2011, and has held several roles - including sales manager and business manager. In recent years, as Chief Biodiversity & Business Officer, she has led the work of developing Sweden's first industry roadmaps for biodiversity, for Svemin and SBMI respectively. She was also involved in laying the foundation for the business network Business & Biodiversity Swedenwhich brings together large Swedish companies that want to integrate nature and biodiversity into their business strategy, and has played an important role in the development of the measurement tool CLIMB.
As of November 10, she will now also take on the role of Deputy CEO.
Three quick ones with Tove
- What will be at the top of your agenda as Deputy CEO?
To safeguard and build on all the important work we do with our customers and all the great customer relationships we have. I firmly believe in collaboration in the transformation of society, and I am happy and grateful to have had the opportunity to work in many different collaboration forums so far. This is something I will also prioritize in my new role. - Can Ecogain's customers expect something new with you in this position?
I will focus more on building on than building new, so I think our customers will recognize a lot of things going forward. That said, I look forward to representing Ecogain in many different contexts going forward. - How do you see Ecogain's capacity and knowledge contributing to the development of society within the limits of the planet?
We at Ecogain have a very important role to play! Our clients are community builders and community carriers, and we contribute to their success and development. With our deep expertise in biodiversity and environmental assessment, our solid business intelligence and innovative power, we will contribute to the development of society to an even greater extent in the future. The CLIMB project is a good example of how Ecogain's commitment to collaboration and innovation around common challenges can have a major impact. I also see that, as independent consultants, we have an important role to play in collaborations and exchanges between operators, authorities and other sectors of society.
