Real estate companies address biodiversity

Wåhlin fastigheter, one of Stockholm's leading real estate companies, chooses to address biodiversity on its land through a new framework program. The framework program is yet another step in Wåhlin fastigheter' sustainability work - in addition to reducing the company's footprint through low energy consumption and healthy materials, they have now also laid out a clear structure for how the company will address biodiversity.

- "When we do something, we want to do it well in the long term. We want to ensure that our courtyards are beautiful, functional and easy to maintain, while stimulating biodiversity," says Christina Hoflund, landscape architect and project manager at Wåhlin fastigheter.

Ecogain has developed the framework program for how the real estate company can promote biodiversity in its outdoor environments. The framework program serves both as guidance for external suppliers and as internal guidance when working with the outdoor environments. In addition to concrete guidelines, the program also contains a lot of tips and examples to be inspired by.

-"We will benefit greatly from the framework program that Ecogain has helped us to develop. It has been a professional and well-structured journey and we are very pleased with the result. Both text and layout and above all with the expertise they have when it comes to biodiversity, says Christina Hoflund.
